Mandy has been conductor of the Reading Haydn Choir for more than thirty years. She has lived in Reading all her life and has been an influence on the musical life of the town since her student days as an oboist, and as a solo singer in local productions.
After graduating in music at the University of Reading, Mandy continued her vocal studies with the internationally acclaimed contralto Maureen Lehane and appeared as a soloist in oratorios and masses for several choral societies. She performed regularly with the professional vocal quartet, Amaryllis, giving concerts in both Britain and the South of France.
Mandy is currently Director of Music at St. Joseph's College in Reading where she also conducts the St. Joseph's College Choir, which has appeared under her direction at The Vatican in Rome and St. Mark's in Venice.
